That was 7 months ago. :P -- RyanCross (talk) 01:57, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Just goes to show how inactive I have been on this project :) Cheers, Razorflame 01:58, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RyanCross' RfA thanks

Razorflame, I would like to thank you for your support in my requests for adminship. It was successful having Coppertwig closing my RfA with 8 Supports, and 0 Opposes as the total outcome, and I am now a Wikiquote administrator. I must say, I am very happy and satisfied to help the Wikiquote community in a brand new way, and that I know the community trusts me with the administrative tools. If there's something I've realized during my RFA process this last week, it's that adminship is primarily about trust. Knowing the the overall community trusts me is very heartfelt, and knowing that the community believes I will do well, is very, very good feeling. When I first arrived at Simple English Wikiquote, I saw that the wiki was still growing, so I decided to start contributing to a nice wiki like Simple English Wikiquote. I worked on a lot of wikifying, copyediting, article creation, simplifying quotes, and much more things that I believe have helped improve the quality of the Simple English Wikiquote for all of the readers who come to learn. Every edit we make makes a difference, and making that difference has improved the knowledge of numerous people in our world, which makes editing all the fun. I did my best to work on articles and some general maintenance around here, and I soon realized that more administrators were needed in the most part, so I decided to try to become an administrator here when American Eagle, kindly offered to nominate me for adminship. I was thoroughly surprised how my RfA went, and I am very thankful that I can partake the duties as an administrator, and I will do my very best to help the Simple English Wikiquote community. Please, if you have any comments or complaints about my actions as an administrator, leave a note on my talk page, and I will respond as swiftly as I possibly can. If you need help from an administrator like me, be my guest! You know where to ask (*wink, wink*). ;) I'm sure I could be of assistance. I would love to help you! :)

Many thanks,
RyanCross (talk) 03:27, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar!

Barnstar Congratulations: You have been given a Barnstar!

This is for all your recent hard work, editing, and nominating me! Good Job and Thank You! American Eagle (talk) 02:28, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, didn't even see this here ;). Cheers, Razorflame 01:59, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bureaucratship

Yes, I'll be happy if you nominated me for bureaucratship. Maxim originally nominated me, so I asked if he wanted to re-nominate also. I feel I could do much more for our project as a bureaucrat. Thank you. — RyanCross (talk) 04:59, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure if this project needs 3 bureaucrats at this time. If AE's RfB goes through, then I don't think that I would be able to nominate you because 3 crats on this Wikiquote is too many at this time. If AE's nomination falls through, though, then I would still be happy to nominate you. Cheers, Razorflame 05:01, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Now Razorflame, that will make him want to oppose me. Too late. :) I don't see the harm in three 'crats. American Eagle (talk) 05:10, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
(e/c) On English Wikiquote, where I'm an administrator at, there's a saying that goes, "The more administrators there are the better." I also believe, "The more bureaucrats there are the better." An important question to think about is this: will adding another bureaucrat harm the project or be a positive move to one?
I believe bureaucrat actions would be done much more quickly with more bureaucrats. I don't see the harm in adding too many bureaucrats... or at least three for now. I've been an admin for about 6 months now, and have made 1000+ edits, so you can say I've done a lot for the project. And I do admit, AE is more active than me as far as editing, but I check in SEWQ at least several times a day to watch for vandalism or something I can give my opinion on, so I could also watch for bureaucrat requests also. Anyway, of course, it's entirely your choice if you want to nominate or not. — RyanCross (talk) 05:15, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If that is the stance that you have, then I wouldn't mind nominating you if you still wish me to. Cheers, Razorflame 20:42, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry

Re [1]: don't worry. I think it was OK to start that discussion. And maybe it was my fault. Maybe I should have answered you when you said this. Also maybe I should have answered EVula here. I thought about what you said, and I thought about answering. I wasn't sure whether it was better to answer or to say nothing. Let me know if you still want to talk about it. You might be interested in what I said here and here. Coppertwig(talk) 20:03, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I answered on my talk page. I'm sorry I took a long time. Coppertwig(talk) 00:29, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

RfB thanks

Thank you for voting in my request of bureaucratship (yes, I can spell that now :P). RyanCross has closed the request has "successful" and I have now been granted the bureaucrat flag. Special thanks to my nom, Razorflame. I was not expecting to pass (as I have less support % than my previous RfB). But, I greatly thank you all for this opportunity, I do not plan to let you down. In fact, I promise to do my very best not to. :) God bless, TheAE talk 03:58, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
