My edit count

My edit count in Special:Preferences show 900 (well... 901 now), but the source on the project page shows 883. Which should we use? – RyanCross (talk) 22:10, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, mine says 3,531 in my Settings, but 3513 in the source. I'd say, just use what the edit counter said. That way, we won't have to ask every user to check their settings to see their count. God bless, American Eagle (talk) 22:26, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Preferences shows +deleted contributions. Counters show your count without deleted contributions, because none of the tools have sysop access to access Special:DeletedContributions. Your preferences show the true number of times you've hit the "save" button. :) PeterSymonds 22:29, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

bot update

There is a bot that can do this if you want it to. I can speak to the bot op and he can set it up. It updates every day, although I'm sure that could be changed if needed. Griffinofwales (talk) 14:29, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That sounds like a good idea. I had some troubles updating it manually. —§ Snake311 (I'm Not Okay!) 14:42, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That's a good idea. It would be much easier than having to manually check the edit counter and update the lists. Tempodivalse 15:31, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. @Griffin: Yeah, try to contact the bot owner. Pmlineditor  Talk 15:33, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

<-Questions: How many users will be on the list? How frequently will the bot update? Answer those, and I will get the with the bot op, and set it up. Griffinofwales (talk) 22:44, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think once in two days or so would work fine. As far as how many people to put on the list, I'd say somewhere around 15. Tempodivalse 23:20, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Every 2 days with 15 people on the list. Will do. It might take a week or so, because the bot op is not on every day. Griffinofwales (talk) 23:36, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Once (or twice) a week and and top 10. —§ Snake311 (I'm Not Okay!) 05:47, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Now you tell me! OK, I will talk to the bot op. Griffinofwales (talk) 18:27, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Any updates on this? It's been almost a month. Tempodivalse [talk] 16:59, 19 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The bot op got blocked at his home wiki temporarily. Then his bot broke down. I have left a message at his talk page but he has not replied. Griffinofwales (talk) 17:02, 19 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
