When article talk pages get too long, older messages can be moved to an archive talk page. For example, older messages at "Wikiquote:Simple talk" can be moved to "Wikiquote:Simple talk/Archive 1".

This template should be placed at the top of a talk archive page by typing this:

{{talk archive}}

The template should not be substituted, so do not type this:

{{subst:talk archive}}
