Rollback allows editors to remove vandalism much more quickly than by using the "undo" tool. There are some basic criteria you should pass to be granted rollback:

Criteria for rollback

You must be an active member of Simple English Wikiquote, preferably with some experience in reverting vandalism. Admins/rollbackers from other projects can be granted rollback without these requirements. (If you are an admin or rollbacker from another project, please inform us of this in your request.)

If you are granted rollback, an administrator will approve the request, and will let you know.

Use

Rollback must never be used to revert in edit wars, or to undo good changes. Use the undo feature for this, and give a reason. Rollback does not let you give a reason when reverting. It must only be used to revert bad changes.

Important: Rollback will undo all the last changes by that user. For example, if the user made two good changes, then vandalised, rollback would undo all changes, even the good ones. Use the undo feature in this example.

Request rollback

If you wish to request rollback, click the button below:

This will show up:

*{{subst:rfp|Your Username|Short reason for wanting permission}} ~~~~

Replace "Your Username" with your actual username and "Short reason for wanting permission" with a reason why you want rollback. Do not fill in the "Subject/headline" section.

I have rollback rights on the English Wikipedia, as well as the Simple English Wikipedia and would like it here so that I can help out with reverting vandalism. Thanks! –Katerenka (talk • contribs) 19:25, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I've taken a look through your contribs at simple.wp and en.wp, and i think you can be trusted with rollback. Done Tempodivalse [talk] 19:30, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
