Wikiquote:Requirements for very good pages

There are many pages in Simple English Wikiquote. Some of them are better than others. For this, a new class of pages has been started. It is called Very Good Pages and can be added to the list.

Requirements for very good pages

1. The page must be about a subject which belongs in Wikiquote. Topics belonging to other projects cannot be promoted.
2. The page must be sufficiently long. Such a page is one which has at least 5 quotes which are not small. The general requirement is from 5 to 10 quotes.
3. The page must have gone through a few revisions, possibly by different editors. No one writes perfect pages.
4. If there are any illustrations, they must be pertinent to the page. They must also be properly labelled.
5. All quotes must have a {{simple}} version or must be simple in itself.
6. All quotes must be sourced.
7. There should be no tags such as {{complex}}, {{NRS}}, ot {{stub}}. Pages must have {{simple quotes}}.
8. Complex quotes must have meanings as and when applicable.
9. Things said at the lead must be referenced.
10. Lead must be sufficiently long.

How to make a page very good

When you see that a page meets at least 6 of the criteria, copyedit it and add sources. Then, nominate it at Wikiquote:Proposals for very good pages.
