Wikiquote:Vandalism

This page is an official policy on Wikiquote. It has wide acceptance among editors and is considered a standard that all users should follow. Big changes to this page should be talked about on the talk page before changing.

Vandalism is when people change the wiki in a bad way on purpose. A vandalized page will be changed back to an old version. If you vandalize a page, you may be blocked for some time (or forever) from editing and you won't be able to change Simple English Wikiquote any more.

Examples of vandalism:

• Removing text from pages
• Making new pages with bad things
• Spamming or advertising
• Making fake quotes
• Adding nonsense to pages
