Thanks... I thought I made a user and user talk page here a while ago but I guess not. Jj137 03:59, 18 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Hey, I was going to welcome him first, Coppertwig. :P He's the first user I ever got to know on Wikipedia. :P -- RyanCross (talk) 04:16, 18 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
You can both has welcomez. Jj137 04:20, 18 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Oh, I missed that before, who again are you, Coppertwig? :P Jj137 04:35, 19 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Nah, it was me all along. ;) -- RyanCross (talk) 06:27, 19 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh, I guess I'm stupid then ;) Jj137 02:48, 20 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
We're just joking. RyanCross wanted to be the one that had welcomed you first, so I changed the signature. Coppertwig 13:39, 20 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

(unindenting) and you're trying to encourage people to edit here?? Even I didn't manage to follow your conversation and I knew that you'd changed signatures! :S --Gwib -(talk)- 16:27, 20 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Um, Welcome, though. Coppertwig 16:51, 20 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
The funny thing is, there has been more conversation here in about the first couple days then there was in the first year or so of my wikipedia talk page. Jj137 03:04, 22 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Heh. Well, Jj, are you going to contribute or what? ;) -- RyanCross (talk) 03:06, 22 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh, yeah, about that... yeah, I forgot about that. :P Jj137 02:22, 23 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
"Oh, yeah": that's what I was saying here: "As a result of the whole wikifuss here, I've been making an effort to increase my own mainspace edits." Coppertwig 03:02, 23 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
I think I see what you're saying, but I'm not entirely sure. Hold on, if I don't start contributing, am I going to be blocked? :P Jj137 02:50, 24 August 2008 (UTC) 02:50, 24 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
I think I've found my first potential block! :P Hah, just kidding, but do come an contribute often. -- RyanCross (talk) 02:56, 24 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yeah I know, I didn't even know this wiki was here until about a week ago. Jj137 03:02, 24 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

RyanCross' RfA thanks

Jj137, I would like to thank you for your support in my requests for adminship. It was successful having Coppertwig closing my RfA with 8 Supports, and 0 Opposes as the total outcome, and I am now a Wikiquote administrator. I must say, I am very happy and satisfied to help the Wikiquote community in a brand new way, and that I know the community trusts me with the administrative tools. If there's something I've realized during my RFA process this last week, it's that adminship is primarily about trust. Knowing the the overall community trusts me is very heartfelt, and knowing that the community believes I will do well, is very, very good feeling. When I first arrived at Simple English Wikiquote, I saw that the wiki was still growing, so I decided to start contributing to a nice wiki like Simple English Wikiquote. I worked on a lot of wikifying, copyediting, article creation, simplifying quotes, and much more things that I believe have helped improve the quality of the Simple English Wikiquote for all of the readers who come to learn. Every edit we make makes a difference, and making that difference has improved the knowledge of numerous people in our world, which makes editing all the fun. I did my best to work on articles and some general maintenance around here, and I soon realized that more administrators were needed in the most part, so I decided to try to become an administrator here when American Eagle, kindly offered to nominate me for adminship. I was thoroughly surprised how my RfA went, and I am very thankful that I can partake the duties as an administrator, and I will do my very best to help the Simple English Wikiquote community. Please, if you have any comments or complaints about my actions as an administrator, leave a note on my talk page, and I will respond as swiftly as I possibly can. If you need help from an administrator like me, be my guest! You know where to ask (*wink, wink*). ;) I'm sure I could be of assistance. I would love to help you! :)

Many thanks,
RyanCross (talk) 03:30, 24 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
