Help?

What would you like help with? I'd be glad to. Welcome! -- American Eagle (talk) 19:36, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So you really didn't kill yourself - don't lie.
But, if you'd like to help, you could start by created some new pages, and first read the Manual of Style. God bless, American Eagle (talk) 19:51, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
We've made many of the U.S. Presidents, which you could begin on, creating the red links. -- American Eagle (talk) 19:56, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. You're not looking to good on Simple Wikipedia, but you will still be welcome here. -- American Eagle (talk) 20:12, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Just a quick note to say "You have mail!" Microchip08 19:57, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Eventually you will, you did do wrong (especially with the suicide threat) and should be blocked, but you'll come back sometime. You really should accept Matilda's mentorship request, (s)he is a good user for it. For now, just stay here and prove yourself, you aren't banned or blocked here and I welcome you to contribute. -- American Eagle (talk) 20:19, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Another note to say I unreservedly apologise for any offence I have caused you with the Kennedy-labelling-Microchip08-a-sockpuppet-of-StaticFalcon fiasco. Microchip08 20:48, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your working with the Quote of the Day, you're doing well! Good job. -- American Eagle (talk) 22:56, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, I had to change this quote, because the exact quote was used here. (See here). But keep up the good work! -- American Eagle (talk) 23:16, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I love it! God bless, American Eagle (talk) 00:41, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh cool. Thanks -- American Eagle (talk) 00:47, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much for the image. I have changed my page to match it, see here. Thank you! God bless, American Eagle (talk) 21:46, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mentoring

I was prepared to mentor you but I am appalled at the email you apparently sent another user at Simple wikipedia. I will not mentor you if you are unkind to any member of the wikipedia community. For me to spend some effort on this, you need to show an interest in positively contributing to the project and make no negative contributions to the project. If you engage in any bad behaviour my offer is withdrawn and I will support a ban. --Matilda 00:17, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Majorly believes you sent an email - see [2] . You used the excuse your brother was using your account to evade sockpuppetry accusations at English wikipedia - that excuse won't wash this time (it didn't last time either I believe). --Matilda 00:32, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Don't you know how to lock a keyboard or log off depending on what sort of access you have? That sort of email is not constructed in a minute and why would anyone else email Majorly on your behalf?
You suggested that somebody should talk about your contributions only on this project - what you don't understand is your actions on other projects are transparent and if you simultaneously behave badly on one project while being good on another, your bad behaviour is counted at both if there are editors at both. Especially when your bad / unkind behaviour is part of an ongoing pattern.
I don't think you want to contribute to wikipedia - why don't you find some other on-line community? --Matilda 00:38, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And me. Real mature, dude. Shapiros10 00:38, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You're digging yourself deeper and deeper. No one likes a liar, Ric, and you've been caught redhanded. Start taking some responsibility. Majorly 00:43, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Locking keyboards if you are logged on to a machine is by Windows Logo+ L (Lock the keyboard).
If it is just a terminal then you should not stay logged on to wikimedia while away from the machine because somebody might do something bad with your account. However, I don't believe the dog ate your homework or anybody would bother to use your account for that purpose as opposed to simple vandalism.
Why do you think the wikimedia foundation is "awesome" and why do you want to be a wikipedian when you don't actually seem to want to edit very much? You just want to muck around. --Matilda 00:49, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The emails were apparently sent from Simple wikipedia - it doesn't make sense that some random other user in the library would come along to a keyboard that was in use, take over your identity, move projects to simple wikipedia, chose a couple of non-random editors you have been involved with and send them each a rude email on your behalf. Occam's razor is a very useful starting point - often paraphrased as "All other things being equal, the simplest solution is the best." In other words, when multiple competing theories are equal in other respects, the principle recommends selecting the theory that introduces the fewest assumptions and postulates the fewest entities. --Matilda 01:06, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Simple English Wikipedia

Well, StaticFalcon, you've destroyed yourself. You were doing well, I thought you were getting better and I was trying to allow you to return editing on Wikipedia. I was giving you my trust. But you've gone too far in your doing. This was wrong and I think you should receive a longer block there.

But I won't allow anyone to block you here on Wikiquote. I want you to do well and gain experience as a user, I was similar to you when I started. You may continue to contribute on Wikiquote here and you won't be blocked here. You did wrong again on Wikipedia, but aren't about to be blocked here. Please don't retire, I want to help you grow here in the future. God bless, American Eagle (talk) 01:16, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So even if he starts acting like a naughty five-year-old child on here, you'll still defend his immaturity till the bitter end? Majorly 01:18, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, but he won't be blocked here because he isn't liked on Wikipedia (as you stated). And Majorly, can't you stay on Wikipedia? You've brought drama here we don't want, we want to work on our articles. Thank you. -- American Eagle (talk) 01:20, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, I'll edit where I like thanks. Majorly 01:21, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Then go work on some articles (please do!). But don't bring a bunch drama and strife here. -- American Eagle (talk) 01:24, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome back! -- American Eagle (talk) 20:47, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh good. I was hoping you would. -- American Eagle (talk) 20:53, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Email

Thanks for your email. Pity the content basically proved to everyone that you are immature. Try contributing properly to the wiki- projects that you apparently love so much. Kennedy 10:26, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I answered this here. Coppertwig 16:11, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hard work

Hey, I was going to do that! :) Good job lately. -- American Eagle (talk) 23:53, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello and bot problem

Hey,

Thank you for your welcome message, even though I won't be an active contributor to the simple English Wikiquote. :-)

As for my bot, it actually didn't do anything wrong, someone added an incorrect interwiki on an article about Music (I don't remember the language in which this was done) leading to Beth Anderson on Simple... So my bot assumed it was a correct interwiki and started adding this interwiki to other languages, as well as modifying this Beth Anderson page. Thankfully, I noticed it and fixed it quickly. So, the person at fault here is the one who added the wrong interwiki, bots only propagate this mistake, by doing what they were coded to do (another bot actually added this wrong interwiki to other projects, but not on all of them as this bot doesn't run on loads of projects, contrarily to mine).

Move

The reason I moved Jimbo Wales to Jimmy Wales was because English Wikiquote says "Jimmy". But no big deal, your move was fine. God bless, American Eagle (talk) 20:55, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

KK, I just think he is better known as Jimbo Wales, IMO StaticRic Review ME! My mess.My colorful Main Pages 21:44, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

For bouncing off your block on Wikipedia not by becoming a vandal, but by becoming the best user you can be. Thank you for your changes, and keep it up! -- American Eagle (talk) 22:15, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, he can. And that's what my RfB is about. He can do it. -- American Eagle (talk) 01:04, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

SB39's RFA.

A few users wanted to know (myself included) why you supported me, and then switched to oppose. Was it per Maxim? He's supporting now. Please explain your oppose here. Thanks! SwirlBoy39 20:47, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please check whether the RfA shows your vote correctly. Someone may have changed it by accident. See [3]. Coppertwig (talk) 21:13, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
